The story of this Escape room for kids: 'Caught in a game'
Adam, Thomas, Olivia and Jennifer are cleaning up the attic. Between all the thick layers of dust, they find a lot of games from the past.
One is a very special game. When playing, they are sucked up by the game and suddenly they are in the middle of it. Fortunately, the children find a letter that explains how they can help the people who are trapped in this game.

Through videos, the four persons which are caught in the game, tell the children how to play the different levels (rooms) and how to free the caught persons.
The themes of these four rooms are made in the experience world of children.
It's about gaming, BFF (best friends forever), but also about card and dice games. Children don't have to be gamers to enjoy this escape room. You will notice that the kids will be excited once they start playing and solving the different puzzles.
We made it easy for you:

Play an Escape Room at school

We regularly get questions of teachers from primary schools, how to play our Escape Room with their class. Therefore we'll give you a short explanation on how you can easily play this with your class.
There are 4 'rooms' played by teams of (preferably) up to 4 children. In each 'room' one team starts to play. And then you let them rotate. So you can already have 16 children playing at the same time.
If you print the game twice, you could even have 32 children (i.e. an entire class) playing at the same time.
As you may have read, the word 'room' was written in quotation marks. Since the rooms are not really locked, 4 rooms or even 4 places are enough to play. These can also be corners of a room. So if you have your own room and a gym or a hallway at your disposal, then you can arrange several places there.
If you want to know more about the possibilities of playing at school, please email us at [email protected]. We'll be happy to help you with organizing this great game.
And once you've bought this game, you can play this Escape room for kids over and over again with new groups of children. We know that several schools have plasticized the game after printing.
We get a lot of questions about playing this game during a Corona lockdown. Of course you can play the game with your own family at home, but you can also choose to print the game twice and prepare it for 2 houses. The teams can use (for example) Facetime/Zoom/Webex to communicate with each other. They are puzzling together... on a distance.

Enjoy our Escape room for kids
Hi! We are Richard and Marjolein and for more than 5 years we have been creating games for (large) groups of adults and children. More than 250.000 people in the Netherlands and Belgium have been playing our games.

And also in Germany people are playing our games for some years. So we decided to translate our games in English as well.
We'd like to play Escape Rooms everyday. How cool is it to solve all the puzzles and crack all the codes through good cooperation. Full of adrenaline puzzling through all the rooms and trying to escape in time. We've played a lot of escape rooms so far. With friends, but also with our own family. It's simply a super game to play.
In our games assortment we already had an Escape room for adults. But lately many people asked us if we had an Escape room for kids as well.
That's why we have created a cool interactive Escape room for kids. The game is fun to play for both girls and boys between the ages of 9 and 13. It will be a birthday party your child will never forget. Even their friends and their parents will still talk about this years later.
And do you know what is really nice about this game? You can play it anywhere: With your family at home, at school with your class, but also for instance at a sports club.
Our two daughters are already real Escape Room kids. All we have to do, is ask them, "Shall we... again?
Played tonight with my 8th grade. They were so fanatical and they thought it was cool! Highly recommended!
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your nice response :-).
Richard & Marjolein
This weekend we celebrated our daughter’s birthday and played this game. I’m excited. You have to do some tinkering beforehand, but it was even more fun that the puzzles were so well received. Great puzzles. Perfect difficulty level – really top the 5 girls are all between 9 and 10 years old and had fun. Thanks, it’s really worth its money.
Today we did the escape room for kids during the party of our eleven-year-old daughter. It was a great success! It takes a bit of preparation to put things together, but I liked that, and it was finished in one evening. Preparing the game is done in no time.
The girls were very enthusiastic. The first time they were going to send an app they were totally nervous and literally eager when they received a reaction. Really great fun with the movies, apps and very fun and varied puzzles. Recommended!
My 5 kids enjoyed themselves! We had them puzzled in a group of 2 and 3. The girls aged 13 and 14 needed just under an hour to get through the rooms. My son and daughter aged 9 and 11 needed 75 minutes with the help of their 15-year-old brother. Super well set up and very clear. Recommended! Greetings Linda
Last week we played the escape room with our sports team (9 kids between 10 and 12 years old). We played with 2 groups at the same time (one started at level 1, the other at level 3). It just went super!
We played outside and that went fine as well. Despite the heat they were all concentrated and fanatic. The groups progressed pretty evenly and it was nice that they could see each other when they were allowed to go to the next level.
With group 5/6 of the primary school we played this escape room: we played it in the office of the principal, in the kitchen and two rooms of colleagues. It was super fun! Especially the movies and sending app messages make it very special. The children almost managed to solve everything themselves.
What a great escape. Last night we played it during our 10-year-old daughter’s children’s party. During the game the 8 ladies became more and more enthusiastic. Lovely game to play.
We played the Escape room for kids for my son’s 9th birthday!!! Fantastic, he enjoyed it very much! Highly recommended. Even as an adult it was fun to participate!
Yesterday we played the escape room for kids. It’s very well put together.
The game requires some preparation but if you do it neatly and firmly you have everything you need to play it more often.
My eleven-year-old daughter loved it. Especially the technical gadgets that provide interaction make it even more fun. Sending app messages for the codes, nice introduction videos before entering a room with QR codes etc.
And the game is also educational, because the children need to make connections and perform calculations. Highly recommended!
My son is turning 13. I’m sure this is going to be a repeated question… can I prepare this across 5-6 households for a virtual party?
Hi,
Thanks for your message. This escape room is normally played offline. In these Corona period, you can give each kid some of the materials, so that they have to communicate online with each other. Showing each other what they have got and puzzling together.
But there aren’t enough materials for 5 or 6 houdeholds. So if you choose to play it virtually with 5 or 6 households, then you have to print and prepare the game twice (2 hours preparation per game).
So yes, it is possible, but it costs a lot more time to prepare.
Best regards,
Richard and Marjolein
After I print the materials do I need access to the internet or can this all be done out side with no internet?
Hi,
Thanks for your reaction. You can choose to play it with internet (and Whatsapp) or without. Both is explained in the scenario of the game.
With internet it is more fun, because there are some nice short videos and we use an automatic WhatsApp responder.
Best regards, Richard and Marjolein
If I order this game now can i keep it until Easter or is there a time limit on it.
Hi, would this be interactive and hard enough for 13 year old plz?
Hi, the Pharaoh’s treasure is fine for 13 years old. Caught in a game is a bit easier. Best regards, Richard and Marjolein
