30 board games – Never get bored again

Whether in winter or summer, we play board games all year round. We get together with our neighbours at least once a month to play a new game. By now, our cupboard is full of super fun board games. We are happy to share our knowledge with you, because these 30 board games are a must-have.

Board games

It does not matter whether we win or lose. We always have a great laugh when we play our board games!

We make a distinction between board games where you have to work together, board games you play with and against each other, board games for 2 people and of course board games where you play against each other.

Do you know another board game that we should definitely play? Then please leave a comment at the bottom of this page. Thanks in advance!

After finalising this blog, we discovered that it also includes some card and dice games.

Did you know that we also create games

Your friends have probably never played these games before. Surprise them now!

Board games where you have to work together

We have categorised the board games. For a few years now, we have been big fans of games where you don't play against each other but where you have to try to win together. We didn't like itat first, but it turned out to be great fun.

So we start with board games where you have to work together.

Paleo - The board game of ancient times

We start with a relatively new game from 2021. One of our favourite board games because you don't play against each other, but with each other. So you either win as a group or you lose as a group.

Paleo board games

In the early Stone Age, when people still moved around, every day was a new challenge. This board game is a survival game. The players can play different scenarios together, which become more and more difficult. They say the game lasts 45 to 60 minutes, but we never managed that.

Paleo

Maybe we are the kind of social players who entertain themselves in between and think too much. By the way, deliberation is very important in this game, otherwise you won't survive. Are you ready for an exciting adventure in the Stone Age?

Our opinion:

Since we have already played many board games against each other, we thought it would be super fun to play together for once so that we can all win. Each scenario has different cards, which makes the game always exciting. Our neighbours and we believe that this is one of the best games ever.

The forbidden desert

Forbidden desert board games

Prepare for an exciting search for a legendary flying machine buried in the ruins of a forgotten city in the desert. You'll need to work with your teammates (yes yes yes, work together again!) and use every piece of equipment at your disposal to survive the scorching sun and relentless sandstorm. Find the flying machine and escape before you get lost in the Forgotten City!

A game that can be played at different levels of difficulty, making it fun for children and adults alike. Again, you have to work together properly because you need each other!

Our opinion:

With many board games, everyone uses their own tactics, but here you have to talk to each other a lot, so it still becomes a fun evening. Of course, you want to leave in time before you get dehydrated, but we never have that problem in our group. There is always plenty of wine on the table. A relatively simple game for later in the evening.

Pandemic - Playing board games together

One of the board games that people always talk about is Pandemic. In this game you are a group of scientists, each with their own role, trying to fight 4 dangerous epidemics. All over the world, your presence is requested. From your base in Atlanta, you spread out all over the world in this basic game. Will you succeed in saving the Earth or will the diseases destroy life on Earth forever?

Our opinion:

There are board games that we want to play every day. Pandemic is definitely one of those game. Every time, the game is different. And should you like the basic game as much as we do, Legacy awaits you. 3 additional board games where the game and the rules change during the game. You have to tear cards, new diseases, new materials and much more are added.

Each game is then a 'season' that you can play up to 24 times. Seriously... You've never played such a fun game before. By the way, this is only for real game lovers who like to play for many hours at a time. We played all three 'seasons' with our neighbours and were very impressed with this game. Rating 10 out of 10.

The Legends of Andor

Board games that involve fighting are not always popular with many players. But with this game, people often think differently. An exciting cooperative board game for the whole family.

Legends of Andor board game

Players are heroes who must defend the fantasy land of Andor against all kinds of monsters, such as trolls and dragons. They take on the role of a wizard, a dwarf, a warrior and an archer, each with unique abilities. The heroes collect gold, gems and various items that improve their strength and willpower. This enables them to deal even better with their opponents.

But unforeseen events always make life difficult for the players. Only through good advice and joint battles can the heroes survive! The game contains 5 different, challenging legends, including an introductory game

Our opinion:

We played the first Legend and after 5 minutes we were convinced: this game is fantastic! The graphics are beautiful, the game mechanics are simple and the story is very nice. And the fact that you can start playing almost immediately (the rest of the rules are explained during the game) is absolutely great. Andor is highly recommended!"

Robinson Crusoe - Board game on a desert island

Robinson Crusoe offers a series of epic scenarios set on a desert island. In this board game, you have to survive together with your fellow players and fulfil the mission associated with the scenario. You have to get food, protect your hideout and explore the island.

This may sound simple, but it is not! The rapidly changing weather, wild animals and your own clumsiness make things difficult. Can you survive a few days on the island?

Our opinion:

Some rules of board games are simple. Unfortunately, these rules are quite difficult. But once you get the hang of it, it's a super fun game full of surprises. There are several scenarios and it is not easy to survive on this island. There are many dangers lurking on this island. You need good communication and teamwork, otherwise this game will not have a happy ending. We have played 2 scenarios now and luckily we are still alive. To everyone reading this: Send a boat to save us!

Board games you play with and against each other

The board games you just saw were all games where you can win together. There are also a few board games where you also have to work together, but still play against each other. We will introduce them to you now.

Codenames

Two rival intelligence agencies know the secret identities of 25 spies. Their teammates know these spies only by their code names. The teams compete against each other and try to be the first to contact their spies.

playing board games like Codenames

Each intelligence chief gives clues and his teammates try to guess the words without betraying their opponent's spies. The trick is to use one word to guess as many cards as possible. And of course everyone wants to keep away from the assassin.

And there are many extensions to this game too!

Our opinion:

On our last holiday, we played this every day with our children. And it never gets boring because there are different cards every time. No game is the same as the other. You learn how the other person communicates. And just when you think you know it, it turns out you don't. Highly recommended for families.

Board games with communication are always our favourite!

Alcatraz - Board games can sometimes be unfair

The players are inmates on death row in Alcatraz who want to try to break out. To escape, a plan is created that consists of six parts. There is only one problem: to execute the plan properly, someone has to stay behind.

Board games can sometimes be unfair...

Alcatraz board games

Our opinion:

There are few board games as unique as Alcatraz. You have to work together, but you are also each other's opponent.

So you always have to decide for yourself who you want to work with at that moment and who you don't want to work with. Sometimes the game is very hard because you disappoint someone. How do you stay friends during the game and still be able to work against each other? It's a very interesting and psychological game.

We have only played this game twice, but we were impressed. It is unlike any other game and that is what makes it so wonderfully entertaining. As we write this, we already feel like playing it again.

Gloomhaven - The world's number one board game

Gloomhaven has long been considered one of the best board games out there. It is a game of tactical combat in an ever-changing world where motives are constantly changing.

Players take on the role of a wandering adventurer during the course of the game, each with their own skills and reasons for entering this dark world

Gloomhaven

Players must work together to overcome dungeons and ruins. During the adventure, each player improves their skills by gaining more experience and loot, discovering, exploring and looting new places, and experiencing a story that evolves through the choices made during this board game.

Gloomhaven, the number 1 board game

Our opinion:

I always have to smile when I see the Gloomhaven box. The smile is gone for a moment when you pick up the game. It weighs 10 kilos! But when you open the box, the smile returns. This game is madness. If you like adventure games where you progress with your character, this game is really fantastic.

You start as a level 1 player and go on your first adventure with your friends, who all have a different character. You first have to answer some questions that you encounter along the way. It will determine the character of your group. Treasures and items found make you richer and stronger, and once you return to the town of Gloomhaven, you can buy new things with them. Immerse yourself in this wonderful story.

2 player board games

Most board games are for 3 or 4 players, but there are also many 2 player board games. The games below are super fun and we have spent many evenings playing them.

Kahuna - Who is the boss on the islands?

Somewhere in the South Pacific, two Kahuna priests are waging war over 12 small islands. With the help of rare Kahuna magic, they are trying to bring the islands under their control. Which of them will win this battle?

2 player board games Kahuna

Our opinion:

We have played this game dozens of times. One of the easy-to-play board games for 2 people. And as always, Marjolein won the first games because she immediately comes up with the right tactics. Until I came up with better tactics and beat her quite often. Do you decide to play the small islands or do you try to conquer the big islands? We won't tell you, because it's just as much fun to find out for yourself.

Babel

The first cities and kingdoms once arose in Mesopotamia:. The awe of the kings was reflected in the splendour of their temples.

Babel 2 player board game

In Babel, both players build temples with the help of different peoples. No easy task, because the Sumerians, Hittites, Persians, Medes and Assyrians are quite unpredictable. Workers overflow, building materials disappear and temples suddenly collapse. The player who masters the tasks best will build the highest temples and win this game.

Our opinion:

Marjolein and I bought this game decades ago and played it on our holidays. A game for 2 where tactics are more important than luck. You build towers, but at the same time you try to bring down or steal your opponent's towers. The different types of peoples all have their own qualities, so you have to pay close attention to which one you need.

And again, of course, Marjolein won the first games. It always seems to take me a while to get a game right. But I have just as much fun!

Caesar and Cleopatra

Caesar and Cleopatra have a love-hate relationship. They are petulant towards each other, but at the same time they are fighting for power in Rome.

They try to arrest the politicians one by one. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, they attack each other with illegal means such as intrigue, betrayal and even open attacks!

Occasionally, a politician makes a decision and sides with one of the two actors. It is not known in advance which faction a politician belongs to or when a politician decides to speak out. The philosopher can significantly thwart your plans.

Our opinion:

They were lovers, but by now also somewhat enemies. A delightful scenario, because we too are lovers who love to beat the other with a game. In this game, you have to play your cards well to win over the rich and powerful. Usually my Cleopatra wins this game, I must honestly admit. This Julius obviously still lets himself to be influenced too much by the beauty of his wife. A fun and entertaining board game for 2!

Board games where you play against each other

The most common type of games are the board games, which you play against each other. As a rule, the games can be played by 2 - 4 people, occasionally even up to 6. This list of board games should not be missed by real game fans.

My City - Tetris in the board game

Each player has a board on which they build their city. At the beginning of the campaign there are a few different features - empty fields, rocks, trees and so on. The buildings he/she builds are represented by tetris-like shapes in three different colours. A deck of cards is placed between the players and each time a card with one of the polyominos is turned over. The players must then build it in their city.

Board games My City

You can play the basic game, but you can also play a legacy variant where you evolve as a player with your board.

Our opinion:

We were attracted by this game because there is a legacy variant of the game. So the game changes as you play it. And we think that's super fun. The game is very easy to play, but it's not easy to get it right. You'll soon realise that you have to think well ahead, otherwise you won't be able to build your city properly. We've always been fans of Tetris and are thrilled to see that reflected in this game. A real family game, short and fun.

Everdell

In the lovely valley of Everdell you will find a civilisation of forest dwellers. This civilisation is growing and thriving. Will the sun shine the brightest in your town before winter comes?

Everdell board games

The Evertree accompanies you through the different seasons of the year. It is time to evolve and you are the one to do it!

Collect berries, stones, resin and wood. You will need these resources to expand your civilisation. Greet the various forest creatures and immerse yourself in the magical and wonderful world of Everdell.

In Everdell, you can place your workers in different locations on the board to collect resources or cards. You need these resources to play forest creatures and buildings in your town. There are four seasons in the game: Spring, Autumn, Summer and Winter. After the last season, all collected points are added up. The game ends when no one can or wants to take any more actions. The player who builds the best city and collects the most points wins this board game.

Everdell is a dynamic building and worker placement social game for the whole family. The social game has a high replay value that makes the game different every time. Are you ready for a bigger challenge? Then check out the Pearlbrook and Spirecrest expansions too.

It is obvious... Marjolein is winning again

Our opinion:

Everdell is probably the most beautiful board game ever! The beautiful drawings, the cute wooden animals and the beautiful materials.... everything looks great! Luckily, it is also a first class game! The actions are very simple, but the large number of cards makes Everdell a challenge. Highly recommended!

Camel up

Board games don't always have to be difficult to be fun. In this game, players have to predict which camel will win or lose the race. Will reckless gambling be rewarded or not? Smart betting and a bit of luck to become the master of camel prediction. A short but super fun board game. Even children always have fun with this game.

The special thing about this game is that you can play it with a maximum of 8 people!

Our opinion:

A friend of ours took it with friends one weekend and everyone wanted to play it immediately. The pyramid with the dice makes this game unique. There is a bit of luck involved in this game, but if you play it smart, you can steer your luck a bit. It is easy to play and does not take very long. That's why we regularly take this board game out of our game cupboard. Our daughter Estelle is the only one who is not that keen on games, but she really enjoys a game of Camel up.

Qwixx

In Qwixx you don't have to wait for your turn - someone throws the dice and everyone can use the throw! The more numbers you mark on your game board, the more points you get.

Qwixx can be explained in two minutes and is exciting right up to the last throw. Let the dice roll and get infected with the QWIXX fever!

Our opinion:

Qwixx is a highly addictive dice game. The rules are super simple and since a game is over within 15 minutes, it often ends up on the table at our house. The many extensions also provide a lot of variety. An indispensable game for the dice lover

Not all board games have to be difficult. If you don't want to think too much, choose Qwixx.

Machi Koro

You have just been elected mayor. Congratulations! Unfortunately, the citizens have big demands: they want jobs, an amusement park, a few cheese factories and maybe even a radio tower. Ouch, that will be a difficult task, because your city currently only has a wheat field, a bakery and a cube.

Machi koro board games

Armed with a dice and your dream, you must build Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. You must earn revenue from developments, build public buildings and steal from your neighbours' coffers. But make sure they don't do the same to you!

Our opinion:

We have always been fans of the computer game Sim City. Machi Koro is played with dice and cards. But also in this game you have to build a city to beat your opponents. And with all the expansions to this board game, you can play this amazingly fun game many times. Just make sure you put the cards in the right tray each time. This game is simple in terms of rules, but you still need to think carefully about what to do next. We play this game at least once a month.

Ticket to ride - Playing board games and chatting

In some board games you have to be very patient and have a poker face. Because if you really want a train connection from the West Coast to the East Coast, you have to save a lot of tickets and hope that the competition doesn't beat you to it

ticket to ride

An exciting, but also entertaining game. This is because the rules of the game are actually quite simple and you can therefore have a good time during the game. But be warned, you must pay close attention to which cards your opponents take.

Our opinion:

With Ticket to Ride you can choose from several board games, but we only bought the basic game. This board game is set in America, where you are tasked with driving trains between the different cities on the map. A real family game that never gets boring as there are so many different ways to control the trains. This is a board game that needs no preparation time as the rules are quite simple. So if you have nothing to do for half an hour, a game of Ticket to Ride is always fun.

Siedler von Catan - Board games that will always be fun

A piece of the world is the basis for this super fun board game. You start this game with just one village and one road. By collecting raw materials, you can trade them to build new roads, villages and cities. It sounds simple, but winning is not easy. The best-selling game of the last 20 years, and rightly so. With The Settlers of Catan, you always have a fun board game at home.

Our opinion:

When we were kids, we had Risk and Monopoly, and we really loved that. But these games don't mean a lot if you have played the Settlers of Catan game of games.

We assume you know this game if you are reading this blog. If not, stop reading now and go to the game shop to buy it. We have been addicted to this game for years, and in recent months we suddenly started playing it again. Mainly because there are many expansions to the basic game that keep the game extremely challenging. Nothing is more fun than board games where you have to build something from nothing.

Crazy board games - Munchkin

You start as a level one human with no class. But as the game progresses, you can transform into a dwarf, an elf, a priest, a wizard and a thief. This is Munchkin, a card game that is the ultimate parody of Dungeons & Dragons. Fight monsters, capture the treasure and snatch the treasurefrom your fellow players. Anything is allowed to reach level ten and win the game.

Munchkin card game

Kick the door open and see what's inside: is it a monster or an object? If there is a monster in the room, you can fight it. But be sure you can defeat it, otherwise you will have to flee. If you defeat it, you will get its treasure and move up a level. Can't beat it? Then call your fellow players for help.

But of course they will not help for nothing and may ask you to share the treasure with them. You can also interfere with each other by throwing potions, engaging other monsters in battle or making the monster you are fighting stronger. Almost anything is possible in Munchkin, as long as you make sure you win!

The player who reaches level ten first wins the game.

Our opinion:

There was a time when we tried to play the fantastic game Dungeons and Dragons. This is a role-playing game where you are a character in various exciting adventures. During the game you can move up levels and thus become stronger and stronger. Munchkin is the light-hearted version of this type of board game.

You laugh with each other and in the meantime, of course, defeat all those scary monsters. It's not an easy game, by the way, but once you know how, you can play for hours and have fun. Unfortunately, we haven't played this game for a while. We will bring it out right away this afternoon!

Fußball Gesellschaftsspiele

Eleven is a strategy game by Thomas Jansen (Club Stories, Tavern, Streetpainball) set in the world of football. You own a football club and have six weeks ahead of you.

What season will it be for you? Relative stability? Nasty failures? Or will you perhaps struggle to win the league?

Eleven

With the right management of club resources, you can make more transfers, train players, hire new staff, acquire sponsors and develop your own stadium. All this to make sure your team is ready to win on the crucial match day.

Hire the right people in the right positions and make your club invincible.

Our opinion:

We've played dozens of board games, but when I told her I wanted to buy a football manager game, Marjolein wasn't really keen in the beginning. Marjolein is not a football fan. But well, I wanted to play it once. The neighbour was of course immediately enthusiastic and so we played it with our neighbours. We've only had the game for a few months, but we've already played it twice.

There are a lot of rules that you have to learn to understand. But once you know them, it's a great board game to play. You really don't have to know anything about football to win this game. But you have to make the right decisions for your club.

Which players and which coaches do you buy? Who should be on the board of directors? Are you bothered about the profits of the company or do you want to please the fans? And what do you do about sponsorship? It's like running a real football club. My football heart jumps when I play this game.

Tiny Towns - Board games in which you have to build

You are the mayor of a tiny town in the forest where the smaller creatures of the forest have created a civilisation hidden from predators. This new land is small and resources are scarce, so you take what you can get and never say no to building materials. Skilfully plan and build a thriving city, and don't let it get full of wasted resources! Whoever builds the most prosperous small town wins!

In Tiny Towns, your town is represented by a 4x4 grid on which you place resource cubes in specific arrangements to construct buildings. Each building scores victory points in a unique way. When no player can place any more resources or build any more buildings, the game ends and all squares without buildings are worth -1 VP. The player with the most victory points wins!

Our opinion:

This board game always puts a smile on our faces. Each player builds the game of their choice on their own board. It seems that you can't attack each other, but you can. One can choose the resource that others do not need. In this game, everyone has to take the same resource. We have played this game a few times with 6 people. It's a favourite game of our sons-in-law because they can finally play too. The game has simple rules, but winning is not so easy.

Robo Rally - Board games that are unique

The robots of the Robo Rally car factory spend their weekdays working on the assembly line. They spend hours building high-speed supercars that they will never see them in action. But on Saturday nights, the factory becomes a world of crazy machines and dangerous plans as they race their own epic race.

Robo Rally

In this strategic board game, you need speed, brains and lots of tricks to become a racing legend! Each player chooses a robot figure and controls its movements by playing cards. Chaos breaks out when all players reveal the cards they have chosen. Industrial lasers, gaping pits and moving conveyor belts are obstacles - but even these can be used to the players' advantage. Each player tries to reach the individual control points in numerical order. The first player to reach all the control points wins.

Our opinion:

Personally, we would never have bought this game. On the box it looks a bit like a child's toy. Nevertheless, we bought it on the recommendation of a game expert. And we have never regretted it. It's fun to drive the robot across the board, considering the actions you have to think of in advance.

In the process, the other players can make your life difficult by finishing their plan very quickly, so you run out of time and might make the wrong decisions. This board game is very nicely designed and really unique compared to all the other games we describe in this blog. So it is worth playing at home.

Las Vegas

Players slip into the role of high-spirited gamblers who try their luck with the dice in the glittering world of Las Vegas. Six casinos can be visited, each with a different dice number. And the amounts of money that can be won there are also usually very different

playing Las Vegas

Round after round the same questions come up: Where should I place my dice to have the majority there?

On which casinos have my fellow players placed their dice? And where can I simply take a large sum from an opponent and put it in my own pocket?

But be careful, because as so often in the race for the biggest pot of money, everything goes wrong in the end and there is another player smiling who gets away with the pennies.

The player who has the most money after four stages is the winner of this game.

Our opinion:

Actually, I don't even remember how we came to play this board game. You don't often see it in the shops, although you should do. This board game is easy to play, which is why we regularly pull it out of the game cupboard. The rules are simple and you need a bit of luck. But then again... we are in the casino of Las Vegas. Dice and bets in the right casinos make you win or lose. 2 friends of ours always want to play this game when they visit us. And when we go on holiday, we always put this board game in our suitcase.

Our opinion:

We went to the game fair in Essen to look at new games and this game was immediately our first choice to buy. A game where you have to design your land as best you can with houses, water, crops and trees.

It's nice that you can get all kinds of tasks in this game, so you can win in different ways. Also, you may draw a monster on each other's board, which makes the game a little more difficult. We enjoy it every time we play it with a group. And as many people as you want can participate!

Our opinion:

The game is fun every time because you can always choose a role. Who will take which role? Will you buy expensive buildings or buy 8 small buildings instead as quickly as possible? The game is excited every time, and we like that. It's an old board game but still a favourite. And you can play this game with lots of people!

Carcassonne

In this well-known tile-laying game, players work together to build the French city of Carcassonne with all its streets, towns, monasteries and meadows. By using serfs, they earn points for completed projects.

Each turn, you may discard a land tile and place a serf. What kind depends on the tile. For example, there are tiles with road sections, monasteries, city districts and/or meadow pieces. In principle, no more than one serf may be placed on a project, but if two unfinished sections are assembled, several serfs can still land on them.

Whoever has the most serfs on an unfinished project immediately gets points. Different rules apply to the number of points to be awarded for each type of project. The game ends when all the stones have been placed. The player with the most points wins.

Carcassonne is popular with families and frequent players alike because it has enough depth despite the simple rules. With a bit of luck, everyone can fight for victory until the end.

board games Carcassonne

Our opinion:

Carcassonne is a very well-known board game, and rightly so. The game is easy to play and you can build a lot in a short time. But be careful, because the tiles are not unlimited. We haven't played the game for years, but that doesn't mean we don't like it. So it's high time we played a game of Carcassonne again. Personally, I always have the most fun building big cities.

Medina

The players are simple sheikhs who are summoned by the caliph to build a new capital in the desert. So they compete for power in the fast-growing city from the start. Each player starts with the same number of building blocks. Soon there are buildings everywhere. Impressive palaces with spacious stables are built to feed the camels of rich trade caravans

medina

The city wall is being built all around, interrupted by four gates. In the narrow alleys between the palaces, a kasbah soon emerges: the traditional market that will bring trade and prosperity because it attracts the city dwellers. If you build on the city wall, you can be appointed tower guard, and if you move into a palace in time, you will at least receive a reasonable score. But if you wait longer, you might get a lot more points; don't you? The smartest builder gets to call himself Prince of Medina afterwards!

Our opinion:

We like board games where we have to build. So we always have fun with Medina. Meanwhile, the game has been lying in the cupboard for far too long. So it's time to dust it off (from the Sahara) and focus on this great game. Oddly enough, our kids have never played it. What do you think, shall we play it this weekend?

Azul

As a tile painter in Azul, you are challenged to decorate the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. Introduced by the Moors, azulejos (originally white and blue ceramic tiles) were fully adopted by the Portuguese when their King Manuel. I was fascinated by the breath-taking beauty of Moorish decorative tiles during a visit to the Alhambra Palace in southern Spain. The king, deeply impressed by the inner beauty of the Alhambra, immediately ordered his own palace in Portugal to be decorated with similar wall tiles.

Azul

In the game Azul, players take turns placing coloured tiles from suppliers on their board. As the round progresses, players score points for how they have placed their tiles to decorate the palace. Extra points are awarded for certain patterns and for completing sets; wasted supplies are deducted from the score. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Our opinion:

Azul is one of the most beautifully designed board games. For me, by the way, it's not an easy game either. Marjolein has a much better feeling for the shapes than I do. But we both think it's a fun tactical game, and our two daughters love playing it too. So it's a real family game!

Through the ages

Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilisation is the new edition of the popular board game Through the Ages: A Story of Civilisation. Compared to its predecessor, many changes have been made, including in the warfare. Due to the huge number of cards, a game of Through the Ages is never the same. Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilisation always ranks very high in the Top 100

You do not play this board game lightly. The game easily takes 4 hours, but can also be played in a day. Especially the first time, it takes a lot of time.

board games through the ages

Our opinion:

Do you have a moment? This game is really only for lovers of real games, because it really takes a long time. This is because you start with a very limited civilisation and have to build it up to a strong country. A game that has been developed from the old board game Civilisation. And a board game, which of course has its origins in Sid Meier's computer game. We love these kinds of games. Play, order food, keep playing and maybe even finish the game the next day.

Clever

In Clever, you roll the dice for points. Each dice has its own colour, which corresponds to a category on your personal game sheet. You enter the cube you choose after rolling the dice on the game sheet. Each colour category gives points in its own way. For example, you tick the boxes of the yellow category with the yellow dice and enter the value of the orange dice in the empty boxes of the orange category.

Clever dice game

You must roll the dice three times per turn, after which you choose one dice each time. Any dicethat is lower than the one you choose goes on the rack so that the opposing players can use that dice during your turn.

dice game Clever

Our opinion:

When you ask people if they know any dice games, they always say yes: Yahtzee. But Clever is so much more fun and varied than Yahtzee. We have the basic game here at home and play it very often. A game of Clever doesn't take very long, so we play a game at the table several times a month. Of course you have to be lucky, but since you have so much choice, it's also important to choose wisely. A fun board game for the holidays! With a nice glass of wine to go with it, of course.
